How to set up a new campaign

1. Click on the Create button in the left menu. (1)

2.  A Create Content modal will open, and you will see the list of element types that you can create. (2)
3.  Select the Campaign element type from the list of element types on the right-hand side. (3)
4.  Select one of the campaign workflow templates, by clicking on the individual tile. You can select one from several templates available. Check out the campaign workflow templates article for more information.
5.  Click Use Template to start creating your campaign based on the selected workflow template. (4)
6.  In case you want to abort your selection, click back to navigate back to the workflow template overview screen. (5)
7.  To continue the creation process, fill out the first basic information for your campaign (Title, Summary). (6)
8.  Toggle the Autofill Campaign slider to fill your campaign profile with the help of Gen-AI. This will trigger a sequence that helps you to create a header image, tags, and a campaign description with minimal input. Note that this step is optional. (7) 
9.  Finish the creation process by clicking the Create button. (8)

 

 

 

Note: Campaigns will always be created as a draft and, thus, will not be published automatically like other element types.

Campaigns will only ask for very basic information in the creation dialogue during the creation process. Using the Element Configuration enables you to include further properties for campaigns during and after the initial creation.

 

After finishing step 9, your campaign will be created and automatically open on the element detail page. From here, you can enrich your campaign by adding additional information. If you have activated the Autofill Campaign toggle in step 8, a wizard will guide you through the process of creating content with the help of Gen-AI. Otherwise, you can also trigger the autofill features directly on the element detail page as described in the next paragraph.

2. Smart campaign set up 

The autofill features help you to complete campaign profiles easily. You can automatically generate detailed descriptions, visually compelling images, and relevant tags leveraging Gen-AI technology. 

 

Autofill Description

To use the Autofill Description feature follow these steps:

  1. Choose Autofill Description from the Smart Actions (1) in the header or navigate to the Description section. (2) 

 

2. A modal will open where you can select your preferred template (3) of autofilling the description. You can choose between the following options which will generate a description based on your provided Summary

    • Campaign Canvas: This Canvas will produce a structured description covering the following points: Campaign description, Objective of the Campaign, Stakeholders & Audience, How To Participate, Guiding Questions that help idea submitters understand what's expected and a short and engaging closing statement.
  • Storytelling Tactics:

The golden circle: This Storytelling method starts with "Why" (the purpose or belief), then "How" (the process or values), and finally "What" (the product or result) to inspire and connect with an audience.
Conflict and Resolution: This Storytelling method introduces a central challenge or problem (conflict) and then presents a solution or outcome (resolution) to engage and inform the audience. The resolution in that case is the campaign itself.
In media res: This Storytelling method begins with a narrative in the middle of the action, often at a critical point.

  • Default: This method will create a structured idea description. 
3.  To increase the quality of the response enter a target audience that the campaign should address. (4) 

4.  Click the Create button to get the description. (5) 

 

Autofill Tags

To use the Autofill Tags feature follow these steps:

1.  Choose Autofill Tags from the Smart Action button (1) in the header or navigate to the Tags section. (2)

2.  A suggestion of tags will be returned based on your provided Summary.

3.  Remove not fitting tags by pressing the “x” icon next to the respective tag. (3)

4.  Insert your tag selection (4).

 

Autofill Image

Autofill the header image by following these steps: 

  1. Choose Autofill Header Image from the Smart Action button (1) in the header.
  2. A modal will open where you can select your preferred image style. (2) You can choose between: 
    • No style 
    • van Gogh
    • Futuristic
    • Digital Art
    • Artwork
    • Cartoon
  3. Describe the image you want to generate in a short and precise sentence. (3) 
  4. Click the Create button to generate a preview of images. (4) 



5.  Select the image you like the most. (5)

6.  Click Apply (6) if you are satisfied.
