ITONICS Ideation is a modern online platform that combines idea generation, expansion, rating, aggregation and collaborative selection in medium and large-sized companies. It supports classic stage-gate processes, idea competitions, ideation workshops and close and open innovation approaches and can be customized according to your specific requirements. High user motivation is ensured with integrated incentive systems, gamification elements, idea competitions and communities. Innovation competitions and communities enable goal-oriented innovating in major future fields. After top ideas have been identified, a defined group can bet on the feasibility of ideas and provide success forecasts. ITONICS Ideation supports all phases of idea generation, collection and collaborative selection of ideas with an intuitive design.

Idea Campaigns

All authorized users can create ideas within the framework of an idea campaign. Trends, technologies and inspirations are used in the campaign as the basis for familiarizing the users with the conceptual formulation of the campaign and encourage the creativity of the users. Users can comment on, discuss and assess (in accordance with simple criteria) existing campaign ideas. This first feedback loop supports the development and materialization of ideas through to the elaboration of concepts for products, services or business models.



Innovation communities

Employees rate, discuss and develop inspirations, ideas and concepts collaboratively within ITONICS Ideation. The best ideas can be displayed directly on the landing page of your intranet. Our reputation system motivates and engages all participants and every activity is rewarded instantly.

Our innovation community also enables the social networking of colleagues worldwide. Moderators can create groups on different topics, build open innovation communities or create private groups for a dedicated user group.


To encourage a consistent, high level of participation in the innovation process, ITONICS Ideation implements several measures: gamification components, intuitive and visual access to the system and an incentive system among other measures. The incentive system can be configured in a variety of ways; the focus can be on intrinsic motivation and less on financial incentives: points can be assigned for the respective user by submitting or assessing an idea, for example. Points can lapse over time to encourage consistent usage. Users can redeem the collected points on an ongoing basis in an internal points shop (possible bonuses could include further education and training or an informal discussion with a member of the Executive Board).


Ideation Dashboard

Is a campaign successful? Does the participation in idea management ease off? How strong are individual features of ITONICS Ideation used? The Ideation Dashboard answers these questions and many more. This comprehensive reporting tool is used for innovation controlling and the continuous improvement of all idea management activities. Selected user groups can create individual reports via a given set of criteria with a few clicks only. The Ideation Dashboard also allows for periodic reports with a wide range of innovation indicators. All analysis results are presented graphically and offer filter functionalities for deeper insights. Furthermore, all reports can be exported in various formats for further analysis.
